Auto Parts Delivered by Drone: New Low-Altitude Economy Scene in Kunming

Leave a message

On the afternoon of March 18, at the drone takeoff and landing site of the Low-Altitude Application Practice Station in Hongyun Subdistrict, located within the Intelligent Automotive Industrial Park in Wuhua District, Kunming, an RA3 drone of Miaosong Technology took off to complete its first auto parts delivery mission. The drone was bound for Texianglai Luxury Car Repair Shop, 1.8 kilometers away, and delivered the automotive parts on time just five minutes later.

This launch marks a breakthrough application of low-altitude economy in the automotive service sector. By adopting an advanced urban logistics network model, the project has set up shared front warehouses for auto parts, covering repair shops within a 5-kilometer radius. Drones fly safely at an altitude of 80 to 150 meters above urban areas, cutting delivery time from more than one hour by road to roughly five minutes. This greatly improves maintenance efficiency, reduces waiting time for car owners, and eases urban traffic pressure for parts transportation.

Hongyun Subdistrict has taken the lead in building low-altitude economy application scenarios, supporting tech enterprises to innovate smart logistics solutions. The drone delivery model not only upgrades the traditional auto parts supply chain but also demonstrates the practical value of new quality productive forces in daily industrial services. With stable flight, fast response and high reliability, this drone delivery service will gradually expand routes and coverage, bringing more efficient and intelligent supporting services to the automotive industry and building a new model of urban smart logistics.
